Startup Magnomer developed a solution to label contaminants in the recycling process. PET beverage containers are often wrapped with PET-G shrink-sleeve labels, which contaminate the recycled PET stream. Magnomer’s process applies a magnetic ink to the shrink labels that can be applied with standard label printing equipment.

USA-based manufacturer Goodyear announced the release of a demonstration tire produced using 70% sustainable-material content. One of the greatest innovations by the company is the use of soybean oil to help keep the tire’s rubber compound pliable when subjected to changing temperatures.
